MEKICS Enters Middle Eastern Respiratory Market with Iraq Public Supply Contract for Ventilators
2023-09-06

Seoul – MEKICS, a leading South Korean medical equipment firm (CEO Kim Jong-cheol), has officially announced the signing of a definitive contract for the supply of ventilators and respiratory treatment devices to Iraq, secured through an international tender won by Hyundai Asan Corporation last month.

This pivotal agreement furnishes MEKICS with an unprecedented opportunity to showcase its technical prowess and superior service in the Middle East. It’s anticipated to fortify the company's global competitive edge and lay a robust foundation for consistent growth within the Middle Eastern sector.

Of note in this contract is the inclusion of the HFT700 product. Coupled with recent certifications for next-generation devices like OmniOx HFT750, MEKICS is well-poised to address the diverse needs and evolving trends of the Middle Eastern respiratory care market.

In the foreseeable future, MEKICS plans to strategize its market approach in collaboration with Middle Eastern distributors, especially in key countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the GCC nations. The goal is clear: to lead a transformative shift in the respiratory therapy market paradigm.

Highlighting the significance of the move, Kim Jong-Cheol commented, "Promoting and emphasizing the efficacy of the HFT700, especially its proven effectiveness during the COVID-19 outbreak, is paramount in the Middle East." He further added, "Leveraging our innovative products and technical expertise, we anticipate achieving notable success in the Middle Eastern market."

Moving forward, MEKICS intends to ramp up its marketing activities in partnership with local distributors, respiratory therapy conferences, and exhibitions in the Middle East, aiming not just to amplify its brand awareness but also to solidify its leadership position in the market.
